Hello
Hi, I’m Debra Lanser Moioffer—interior designer, educator, consultant, and member of Watershed Design Group.

For over 30 years, I’ve helped people transform their spaces to better reflect who they are and how they live or work. Whether you’re a homeowner, a small business owner, or part of a larger organization, I’m here to make design feel approachable, purposeful, and impactful.

Check out my story below to see how my path lead me here.

My Story
My path to design didn’t follow a straight line—but it’s one I wouldn’t change. With over three decades of experience, I’ve worked in everything from architectural firms and hospitals to classrooms and corporate offices. What’s always driven me is the desire to create spaces that truly work—spaces that feel good, function well, and reflect the people who use them.

I earned my degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University and jumped into the field with a passion for both creativity and practicality. Over the years, I’ve designed commercial offices, healthcare spaces, retail storefronts, and residential homes. I’ve led presentations for corporate boards and city councils, taught design students straight out of high school, and worked side-by-side with business owners to bring their visions to life.

In the early 2000s, I stepped into a corporate management role within a family-owned healthcare company, overseeing HR, payroll, and financials for five locations. It was during those years that I learned how vital well-planned environments are—not just for aesthetics, but for team morale, productivity, and growth. That insight shaped how I approach every project today.

Watershed Design Group was born from a desire to combine all of that experience into something meaningful. I'm honored to be part of that vision. I help small businesses, educators, healthcare professionals, and homeowners create spaces that support their goals—and feel like their own.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me developing digital tools and design workshops, writing, teaching, or spending time in my studio in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. I believe design should be empowering, not overwhelming—and I’m here to help you make sense of it all, one well-planned space at a time.
